This Project and Idea Stemmed from My Yr 13 Digital Class, when were asked to find a topic we were interested in through the UN sustainable goals. Through the research process, I found out I was most interested in quality education and good health and well-being, especially in the women sector. Through my research and surveys at my school I had identified that many girls didn't have adequate education about menstruation before they go went through it. I also found out that the school system that's supposed to teach these girls about what's happening to them is filled with less useful things.
As a young girl that has grown up with an education, I have seen the big difference it makes in my life compared to those who don’t have the same opportunities. Quality AND Equality in education are huge in today’s world. Not all countries allow both boys and girls to go to school while some can’t afford to even teach kids at all due to financial challenges and unqualified teachers, some don’t even have classrooms for the children.
When it comes to good health and well-being I was supported through my teen years by my parents and family around me, and educated about periods and given all the supplies and medicine by them to help the pain lessen and stay clean and able to continue work. I know that a lot of women don’t even know what periods are till they get them and even after they get them, they don’t have pads or tampons to help with the blood flow or ideas to help stop the pain with the knowledge of what tablets to take and when to take them. Some girls don’t have a mother support, for example they live with their dad and he’s a single parent. Or if there is someone adopted by a gay couple.
This is why I wanted to create a website that would help everyone over a broad spectrum
I hope that my outcome will help girls who have started their periods early and those looking after them, whether it's a single father, young parents, gay parents, or foster parents, or siblings if they don’t have parents. I also hope it will have a positive effect on those in deeply affected countries who don’t have enough money to provide (gain) education about this natural human process. I want them to gain the knowledge of what PMS is and how periods will impact them in daily life, as well as how to ease the pain and prevent leakage and staining from heavy blood flow.
Thank You So Much for reading through my website and I truly hope that I have helped you or you daughter, neice and others to live an easier and less painful and worry free life and future!
Please keep supporting your loved ones and others and have an amazing week!
